Vista Radiology

For Hospitals

Teleradiology

Vista Radiology’s teleradiology specialty provides radiology solutions that improve quality of care. Vista has incorporated the very latest technology in the radiology field to create its own teleradiology business.  This has allowed Vista’s service to geographically diversify and expand, becoming a 24/7 group without requiring local radiologists to work late-night shifts.

Vista Radiology has the physicians, processes and technologies to ensure coverage at all times, making high-quality radiology care a 365-day specialty.

Night Call

Thanks to the investment in physicians and technology, local Vista radiologists do not work late-night shifts.

The six-hour time difference between Tennessee and Vista’s Hawaii-base radiologists allows the Tennessee physicians to rest, while remote radiologists interpret studies during overnight hours. The usage of teleradiology helps Vista’s hospital partners reduce turn around time and on-call coverage costs while maintaining the highest imaging process efficiency and availability.

Sub-Specialties

Vista Radiology, P.C. is the largest radiology practice in East Tennessee with physicians trained in radiological subspecialties, including body/cross sectional imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, nuclear medicine and PET, pediatric radiology and women’s imaging and breast intervention.

Vista provides a high level of expertise through the combination of the radiology sub-specialties, minimally-invasive procedures and the partnership mindset to improve patient care.  With its extensive network infrastructure, Vista is able to provide the subspecialty expertise of a major research hospital to the small community hospital, as well as the large metropolitan referral centers.

Overflow Control

For hospitals and outpatient services, Vista works as a true partner with all facilities.  Through teleradiology, Vista can provide partial FTE reading services for general radiology to enable to a healthcare facility to meet service expectations.

Staffing

The usage of teleradiology has enabled Vista to assist many local and rural hospitals and physician groups. Vista is ready and able to help a radiology group with daytime or nighttime work by providing onsite radiologists or via remote connections.

Vista offers relief to many hospitals during times of staffing challenges or shortages. Instead of hiring a locum tenens, Vista can supply their medical expertise to fill in the gap, use technology to assist and stay connected and leverage sub-specialties to ensure the accurate diagnosis.

Turn-key Solutions

Vista Radiology has a solid history in providing hospitals and physician practices with solutions during challenging times. When hospitals experience obstacles, usually with staffing, Vista’s expertise, physician manpower and technology provides immediate sub-specialty radiology coverage to the hospital community and nearby residents.

Once, a hospital experienced a no-show situation with a locum tenens. With only a four-day notice, Vista was able to provide its services and ultimately prevented a crisis for the hospital.

Recent technology investments such as high-speed networkling infrastructure, and fast, reliable Internet connections, allow Vista to be readily available and a reliable and secure partner for hospitals and physician practices.

PACS and IT

Vista Radiology’s innovative PACS capability enables the practice to provide partnering hospitals and healthcare systems to more efficiently service patients with cutting- edge imaging and digital technology.

The Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is a medical imaging system which stores, retrieves, distributes and presents medical images in an independent format. The images are stored on computers or networks to replace hard copies.

PACS affords a clear benefit to partnering hospitals and healthcare systems through the following advantages:

  • Faster image processing
  • Staff efficiency
  • Reductions in cost
  • Physician accessibility of images from anywhere, yet with ample confidentiality and safety
  • One file for all patient information
  • Access to all historical studies
  • Interfaces with existing hospital information systems
  • Improves operating budget
  • Appointment wait time to see physician is reduced
  • Appointment duration reduced
  • Faster physician referrals
