Vista Radiology partnering with Greensboro Radiology for radiology coverage at two N.C. hospitals Randolph Hospital and Morehead Memorial Hospital

Knoxville, Tenn.–  Vista Radiology, East Tennessee’s largest and most sub-specialized radiology practices is partnering for after-hours coverage with Greensboro Radiology, the leading diagnostic imaging provider in the Piedmont Triad area ofNorth Carolinaemploying 45 board certified radiologists.

Initially, Vista will be supplementing in-house coverage atRandolphHospitalinAsheboro,N.C.andMoreheadMemorialHospitalinEden,N.C.  The twoNorth Carolinahospitals are Vista Radiology’s second and third teleradiology service expansions outside the state ofTennesseein less than a month.

Charles McRae, M.B.A., Vista Radiology administrator, said, “Vista Radiology and Greensboro Radiology are partnering for after-hours night coverage, beginning at Morehead and Randolph hospitals, in an effort to offer the best turnaround and highest quality service to patients, referring physicians and hospitals.  We hope to expand this collaborative arrangement to additional hospitals in the future.”

Vista began its first out-of-state contract July 5 withAdvancedHealthcareMedicalCenterinEllington,MO, followed two weeks later by providing after-hours imaging services atJamestownRegionalMedicalCenter,Jamestown,Tennessee.

A 145-bed hospital, Randolph Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services including maternity, emergency, home health, intensive care, medical/surgical, rehabilitation and wellness. With 108 acute-care beds and 134 long-term care beds, Morehead Memorial Hospital is home to inpatient and day hospital services, a state-of-the-art emergency department, a birthing center, a nursing center, and a cancer treatment center.  Vista’s expertise enhances both hospitals’ diagnostic imaging services.
